Biography:
James is a senior small animal surgery resident at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH). In 2012, James graduated from the University of Sydney and since then has worked in small animal practice and preclinical research, with a particular focus on surgery. After four years in general practice, James completed a rotating internship in 2017 (Sydney University Veterinary Teaching Hospital) and a specialty surgical internship in 2019 (Murdoch University). He has also been a surgeon and research fellow at UNSW Surgical and Orthopaedic Research Laboratories (SORL) since 2018. James has published over 25 articles in veterinary and human peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at national and international conferences. James is enthusiastic about all aspects of small animal surgery, with a keen interest in neurosurgery. Outside of work, James is into all sports, particularly cricket, golf and surfing, although most spare time is spent chasing after his young son Ellis!
