Biography:
Nick Cowling is the resident in Anaesthesia and Analgesia at UQ VETS. He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Veterinary Technology and Management) and while completing his Bachelor of Veterinary Science, he worked as an emergency nurse at the UQ Western Animal Emergency Centre at St Lucia. After completing the Pet ER rotating internship in 2012, he returned to UQ VETS as an emergency clinician.
In 2014 Nick began working in the UQ VETS Anaesthesia service as a clinical anaesthetist and became a Member of the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Anaesthesia and Emergency in 2015. He commenced the American College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia diplomat training program in January 2017. In July 2017 he also began the UQ Doctor of Veterinary Clinical Science residency program and commenced the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists Fellowship training program at the same time.
