Biography:
Ah Young Kim earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Seoul National University in 2014, followed by a Master’s degree in orthopaedic and neurosurgery training. After several years as a surgical specialist in Korea, she developed a strong interest in non-surgical treatments for mobility issues and rehabilitation. In 2019, she moved to the U.S. to complete a residency in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation at Colorado State University, where she also conducted research on canine gene therapy for osteoarthritis and muscle mass assessment. Passionate about improving animal mobility and quality of life, her clinical interests include rehabilitation, biologic therapies, orthotics and prosthetics, gait analysis, and complex lameness diagnosis. Ah Young currently leads the Orthopaedic Medicine and Rehabilitation service at Animal Referral Hospital–Canberra Veterinary Specialist in Australia.
