small animal reproduction

Do you have breeder clients, or get asked to manage reproduction and breeding in canine patients?

Attend this two day workshop and get hands-on experience in AI, fertility ultrasound, semen collection and handling, plus a lot more. In her ‘Reproduction & Breeding for Small Animals’ online course, Dr Natalie Maticka accepted the challenge to show you just how easy is it to deliver quality reproduction services to your clients.

Now, in this two day workshop, Nat combines the essential theory with the practical aspects of Canine Reproduction, and will show you how to put it all into practice

This course is suitable for mixed and small animal veterinarians looking to expand their clinical services into repro and breeding with a best practice approach and ethics in mind.

For registered veterinarians only

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

This workshop has been curated around the scientific principles of canine reproduction and breeding. Participants will train in a range of canine gynaecology topics including hormone cycling and cytology, as well as aspects of andrology which you need to perform an assessment of the stud dog. Above all else, this course is highly practical and is suited those veterinarians who learn by doing. We give you the clinical context, so you get exposure to the whole process of reproduction management rather than just technical steps in isolation. Our sessions focus on key steps like semen collection and assessment, microscopy, processing, freezing and shipping samples – all areas that can boost success or be the reason for breeding failure.

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

As a participant at this workshop, you can expect to perform a range of reproduction-related procedures. You’ll have experienced theriogenologists on hand to help you develop the right techniques and achieve successful reproduction outcomes. You’ll make significant gains in your practical skills because you’ll have the opportunity to observe demonstrations, ask questions and perform procedures for yourself. At any VetPrac workshop, you can also expect to eat a range of nutritious meals and indulge in some sweet treats, too. There’ll be plenty of caffeine. We’ll look after you so you can concentrate on learning as much as possible. Bring questions, chat to your colleagues, and get inspired by working with other vets to improve your skills in canine reproduction. Best of all, you can expect to get loads of procedural practice time so that when the next client books a repro consult, you’re up to speed and ready for the challenge.
