In 2007, Surita graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, after which she spent 6 years in equine private practice. Next, she completed a four-year combined residency and professional doctorate in equine internal medicine at Charles Sturt University in NSW. Her doctorate research project involved non-invasive diagnostic evaluation of lower airway health in horses with mild to moderate equine asthma. She attained Diplomate status of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine in 2018, and joined the team at the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital.

Surita enjoys all aspects of equine medicine but she has a specific interest in non-infectious lower airway diseases including equine asthma, neonatal and adult critical care, ophthalmology, gastroenterology and therapeutics.

Dr. Susan Hill is a dedicated veterinarian specializing in the functional recovery and athletic longevity of small animals. After qualifying as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) in 2017, she has practiced rehabilitation ever since, bridging the gap between clinical medicine and physical recovery. In 2024, Susan achieved Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS) in the specialized field of Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Furthering her commitment to the profession, she currently serves as the Chapter Secretary for the ANZCVS Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Chapter. The field of rehabilitation has opened a fulfilling world of ongoing learning and development, allowing her to offer innovative, broader solutions to enhance the quality of life for canine athletes and aging pets alike.

Dr Tara Cashman currently works in general practice where the bulk of her clinical work involves dentistry and oral surgery. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995 and obtained membership in Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery in 2008. Tara has been an active member and workshop tutor for the Australian Veterinary Dental Society since that time.

Tara has also contributed to the Veterinary Dental Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, as an executive committee member and membership examiner.

Blessed with being able to work & learn with veterinarians all over this country and the World, Terry is adamant that Australian veterinary care is second to none. Terry is a committed family pet practitioner, loves the animal-person bond, and undertakes to prolong it.

Devoted to the veterinary profession, Terry has strived to repay it & his colleagues for the enjoyment & friendships he’s received by serving on various committees and sometimes office bearer on Brisbane Veterinary Practitioner Branch of AVA, AVA Qld, ASAVA, and the ANZCVS. He has been external examiner, guest lecturer and tutor at UQ’s School of Veterinary Science as well membership examiner for ANZCVS. Terry is presently an examiner for the AVE.

Tonya's mission is to improve the welfare of animals as well as the veterinarians looking after them. She has held a variety of lead veterinarian roles in general practice, teaching hospital and shelter environments, and has completed extensive volunteer veterinary work all over the globe. Tonya is a true mixed animal veterinarian, having worked with sheep, cattle, horses and small animals at different times in her career. She is invested in helping veterinarians achieve resilience and great clinical practice with the resources at their fingertips.

Qualifications: BVSC (distinction), MANZCVS (surgery), DACVS-SA, DECVS, ACVS Fellow in Surgical Oncology

Dr Tristram Bennett is a specialist surgeon and surgical oncologist at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) in Sydney. He graduated from Massey University (NZ) in 2010 and spent several years in general practice before completing a surgical residency at Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre and a Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Colorado State University.

Tristram joined the SASH surgical team in 2017 and has a strong interest in soft tissue and oncologic surgery. He is passionate about providing advanced surgical care and improving outcomes for pets with complex conditions.

Dr Vicki Liddle BVSc (Hons) MANZCVS (EMCC) FANZCVS (Ophthal) is a registered specialist veterinary ophthalmologist providing referral eye care with a strong focus on collaboration and practical case support. She manages a wide range of medical and surgical ophthalmology cases, including corneal disease, cataracts, ocular emergencies, and retinal disease.

Vicki works closely with referring veterinarians to deliver high-quality, accessible specialist eye care to their patients through consultations and surgery.

Dr Wiseman completed his veterinary studies at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Canada then spent the next five years in general and emergency practices around Australia.

Waylon is now preparing for board examination through the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2024. While he is experienced in all aspects of surgery, Waylon prefers the challenge of orthopaedics including joint surgery and fracture repair.
