Biography:

Gordon Corfield graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 and began his career in dairy practice before transitioning to small animal practice in 1998, working in Brisbane, England, and Sydney. He completed a small animal surgery residency at Murdoch University in 2005 and joined Rivergum Referral Services before earning his Fellowship and specialist registration in 2008. That same year, he moved to the Gold Coast and has been with Veterinary Specialist Services (VSS) ever since, becoming a Director in 2013.
Passionate about quality pet care and a team-based veterinary approach, Gordon embraces advancements in surgical and medical techniques that enhance recovery. He actively promotes a ‘hip clinic,’ believing hip replacements greatly improve mobility and quality of life. While he specializes in orthopaedic and spinal surgery, he enjoys all aspects of small animal surgery and maintains a busy caseload.
