Dr Eleanor Woolley

Qualifications: BVM&S, MRCVS, MANZCVS (Small Animal Surgery)

Biography:

After graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 2005, Dr Eleanor Woolley (Elee) became an emergency veterinarian at a busy small animal hospital in Derby, UK, where she developed a passion for surgery. She later moved to Australia, working in Townsville as a GP and on call vet, before relocating to Melbourne in 2008. Her strong surgical interest led her to Peninsula Vet Emergency and Referral Hospital (ERH), where she undertook a surgical internship and is now studying to become a specialist.

Elee has completed a distance education surgery certificate and surgical internship and is a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists Small Animal Surgery chapter. She has published research into medial shoulder instability in poodles and their crossbreeds. Her special interests include soft tissue surgery and spinal surgery.

Her pet family consists of two lovely cats, two big rescue hounds (including the latest addition, Nina the 6 month old surrendered bloodhound), and too many chickens and tropical fish to count.
