Dr Luke Johnston

Qualifications: BVSc (Hons) MANZCVS (SAIM), FANZCVS (SAIM)

Specialisation: Registered Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine

Biography:

Luke graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015, immediately embarking on a 6-month rotating internship at Veterinary Specialist Services, then a further 12-month internship in the States. Luke completed his residency and fellowship exams in Australia in 2021, and is now a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, making him a registered specialist in small animal internal medicine. He has worked in a multitude of hospitals including SASH (NSW) and VCA San Francisco (CA, USA). He is proud to be president of the small animal internal medicine chapter at the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, and an examiner for future specialists. His interests include immune-mediated and gastrointestinal disease.

Luke is well-known at VetPrac for his exceptional multimedia teaching resources and his open, conversational teaching style.
