Biography:
Dr Hamish Baron is an avian specialist veterinarian and co-owner of The Unusual Pet Vets, the largest exotic pet veterinary group in the world. Known for his practical, evidence-based approach and his commitment to improving access to high-quality care for all species, Hamish has built a career spanning clinical practice, the development of advanced standards and protocols for birds and exotic pets, and close collaboration with colleagues to continually elevate patient outcomes.
He was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney for his research into Macrorhabdus Ornithogaster and is currently investigating ways to optimise avian long-bone fracture repair techniques, a project that draws on the most advanced methods across species and applies them to avian patients.
