Biography:
Dr Christine Hawke spent several years in general practice in Australia and the United Kingdom before completing her PhD studies in immunogenetics. Following this, she worked at the University of Sydney, teaching general practice and professional practice skills to undergraduate veterinary students. This is where she became addicted to small animal dentistry and oral surgery. She became a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in the field of Veterinary Dentistry in 2006, and has worked exclusively in this field ever since. She founded Sydney Pet Dentistry in 2007, and opened Australia's first dental-only veterinary hospital in Artarmon, Sydney in November 2023.
