Biography:
Alex graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2010.
Following graduation, she spent 12 months in general practice before moving into referral practice where she completed an internship followed by surgical residency. Alex then went on to pass her American board examinations to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and a Registered Small Animal Surgical Specialist in 2020.
Alex has a strong interest in soft tissue and reconstructive surgery with advanced training in interventional radiology. Alex has a vast knowledge of orthopaedic and neurological surgery which she continues to enjoy. Alex is one of the directors at Melbourne Animal Referral Services (MARS) and is enjoying the exposure to cases and clinicians. She also works part time at Geelong Animal Referral Services (GARS) where she pursues her more difficult surgical procedures.
Outside work, Alex is busy with running after her son Ethan, hiking, horse riding and playing with her two whippets (Odin and Loki) and Cat (Szeth).
