Biography:
Dr Naomi Boyd is a rare dual-qualified veterinarian and physiotherapist, having graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004 and 2011 respectively. She is the only veterinarian in Australia who is a Specialist in Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation with a physiotherapy degree.
Naomi has worked in both human and veterinary practices, gaining extensive experience in musculoskeletal health. Her human physiotherapy background includes treating elite dancers and premier-level soccer and rugby teams. She has also pursued further training in clinical pilates, muscle energy technique, dry needling, and injury management.
Naomi lectures nationally and internationally, including at Yamazaki Gakuen University in Tokyo, and has presented at global conferences. She is currently vice-chair of the APA Animal Physiotherapy Group and is helping develop Australia’s Animal Physiotherapy titling pathway.
Naomi is passionate about combining her skills to support pets' recovery, prevent injury, and enhance their long-term quality of life.
