Biography:

Following graduation in 2000, Liz has devoted the last 21 years of her career as an equine veterinarian. She worked as an official veterinarian for the Selangor Turf Club in Kuala Lumpur where she was born. Liz later pursued her career further by completing a graduate diploma in equine medicine and surgery, followed by a residency in equine internal medicine under the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists. Liz completed her residency at the Camden Equine Centre and successfully passed her specialist boards examination in 2013 as a Fellow in Equine Internal Medicine. Liz was the consulting equine internal medicine specialist at the Camden Equine Centre, University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Camden from 2013 – 2021. Liz’s special interests include neonatal/adult critical care and geriatric medicine. Her true love lies in equine ophthalmology and backed up by the facilities at the CEC, has attained a wide experience in treating complicated equine eye diseases. Apart from veterinary medicine, Liz also completed her graduate certificate in higher education and is in her last semester of a Masters of Education where her special interest lies in education design of online learning resources.

Liz has a special love for her recently-passed Siberian Husky Vader who could be seen accompanying her to work every day. Recently the Whippet Viper is her co-pilot in the car. She is also married to a veterinarian and they have two lovely children.
