Biography:
Amber graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2010, and has practiced in both Australia and the United States over the past decade. She undertook a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care in Indianapolis, and then stayed in the area to complete a residency in Avian Medicine at the Avian & Exotic Animal Clinic of Indianapolis. Amber passed her specialty boards through the Board of American Practitioners in Avian Practice in 2017, and practiced in the Boston area for several years before moving back to the Mornington Peninsula at the end of 2020. She has been with the Unusual Pet Vets Peninsula practice since 2021.
Amber is passionate about teaching students, nurses and veterinarians in exotic animal medicine and has written numerous papers and textbook chapters and spoken at conferences over the years.
