VetPrac COVID-19 Policy: Workshop Attendance

January 10th, 2022

Dear VetPrac Community,

Despite our determination to remain cheery about 2022, we must remain realistic as we plan for the rest of the year. For the short term, we have been forced to make some changes to our previous Terms and Conditions.

Significant change

The most significant change is that “fees are refundable for cancellations provided the cancellation is made in writing to VetPrac at least 30 days prior to the commencement date of the Training Course”. Previously, this period was 45 days. Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to the commencement date of the Training Course will incur an administration fee of 50% of the Fee. This means if you cancel your booking less than 30 days from the start of a workshop, we can only refund half of your course fees.

What happens if you receive a positive COVID-19 test in the 7 days prior to a workshop? We request that you contact us straight away and share your positive test result with us, then:

  1. You can transfer directly into other VetPrac workshop/s or course/s to the same value
  2. You can send another attendee in your place
  3. You can receive a credit for use on any VetPrac workshop/s or course/s to the same value.

For the rest of the terms and conditions, please see your confirmation email.

Special cases

If a workshop cannot proceed due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be in touch with you promptly, and the possible outcomes are below.

1. The workshop will be postponed, and we can:

a)Hold your funds for when the workshop is rescheduled

b)Refund your money in full minus the credit card fee, if the new date does not suit you.

The workshop will be cancelled, and you will receive a refund in full.

Our philosophy drives us to help you grow and learn, and more than anything, we will strive to run every workshop in 2022 as planned! A workshop cancellation is a last resort, but we must acknowledge and plan for that sad possibility.

As things are changing on a daily basis, I see panic and fear in our society and around the globe, and I feel this is exacerbating the situation. So, this is a heartfelt request: please stay calm, work with us, and let’s avoid making any snap decisions until we are all fully informed.

The reason for this is: if a vast number of workshop attendees withdraw, we may be forced to cancel a workshop altogether. If that situation then resolves, we may not be able to run our workshops due to low numbers. Please trust that I will honour my commitment to be in communication with you as changes occur, and to provide refunds where COVID-19 restrictions prevent a workshop from taking place.

Overall, I want to reassure all of our amazing VetPrac community that we are here for you. We are looking towards a positive future, and to the time when we’ll look back on the COVID-19 pandemic as a thing of the past, with a low risk for infection in our communities, with treatments available and access to vaccines to protect us.

We thank you for your understanding, your participation and your continued support. Don’t forget: we will be checking vaccination status at every face to face workshop. Please contact us via email, phone 0409 743 100, or text if you have any more questions.

Please stay safe and healthy.

With warm wishes, always,

Margie.
