VetPrac COVID-19 Policy: Workshop Cancellations and Refunds

COVID-19 Attendance Policy update June 1st 2022

Dear VetPrac Community,

We’re proud to report that in the first half of 2022, we’ve hosted 7 successful CPD courses for vets and vet nurses in Brisbane, Gatton, Wagga Wagga, Melbourne and Oakey. Thank you to all of our participants for using RATs, wearing masks and using gallons of hand sanitiser to help us all stay safe and healthy.

This is a brief reminder of our COVID-19 attendance policy, just in case you become unwell in the period leading up to your VetPrac workshop.

If you develop COVID-19 symptoms before a VetPrac workshop, please don’t ignore them. Please check the Queensland Government’s COVID-19 in Queensland page, follow the most recent advice, and get in touch with us via [email protected].

Cancellations, transfers and refunds

Fees are refundable for cancellations provided the cancellation is made in writing to VetPrac at least 30 days prior to the commencement date of the Training Course. Previously, this period was 45 days. Cancellations made in the 30 days prior to the commencement date of the Training Course will incur an administration fee of 50% of the Fee. This means if you cancel your booking less than 30 days from the start of a workshop, we can only refund half of your course fees. Cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the commencement date of the Training Course are not refundable.

What happens if you receive a positive COVID-19 result in the 7 days prior to a workshop?

Please contact us straight away to discuss your options:

  1. You can transfer directly into later VetPrac workshop/s or course/s to the same value
  2. You can send another attendee in your place
  3. You can receive a credit for use on any VetPrac workshop/s or course/s to the same value.

For more information, please see our Workshop Terms and Conditions page.

Special cases

If a training course or workshop cannot proceed due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be in touch with you promptly.

  1. If the workshop is postponed, and we can hold your place for a new course date, or we can refund your money minus the credit card fee
  2. If the workshop is cancelled, and you will receive a refund in full.

A note from our Director

Our philosophy drives us to help you grow your veterinary skills and learn from veterinary specialists, and more than anything, we are striving to run every scheduled workshop for 2022! A workshop cancellation is a last resort, but we must acknowledge and plan for that sad possibility.

Overall, I want to reassure all of our amazing VetPrac community that we are here for you. We are looking towards a positive future, and to the time when we’ll look back on the COVID-19 pandemic as a thing of the past, with a low risk for infection in our communities, with treatments available and access to vaccines to protect us.

We thank you for your understanding, your participation and your continued support. Don’t forget: we will be checking vaccination status at every workshop.

Please contact us via email, phone 0409 743 100, or text if you have any more questions.

Please stay safe and healthy.

With warm wishes, always,

Margie.

PS: if you’ve been hanging back from veterinary CPD this year, 2022 still has plenty left to offer. Our veterinary Abdominal Ultrasound workshops in Cairns and Brisbane are sold out, and so is our Practical Ophthalmology workshop in Gatton, but you can join the Waitlist in case we have cancellations.

For practical skills training, we have Local Nerve Blocks, Practical Skills Bootcamp, and Introduction to Canine Rehabilitation (plus a few more CPD courses for vets and vet nurses which we will reveal soon!).

We have a range of online courses for vets including Emerging Ehrlichiosis and Fixing Fractures, and two live online courses for vet nurses and vet techs, Principles and Practice of Anaesthesia and Pain Management and Surgical Nursing Foundations – Instruments (for nurses and technicians).

We look forward to seeing you soon!
